The Maltese translation agency

The people of Malta are used to speaking foreign languages because a great deal of the economy revolves around tourism. English is even an official language on the island. The country comprises seven islands in the Mediterranean Sea, of which only Malta, Comino, and Gozo are inhabited. Apart from a very large tourist industry, the country also has a flourishing service industry. If you want to distinguish yourself as an entrepreneur here and exploit the opportunities available, a good translation into the Maltese language will provide you with a number of advantages over the competition. This is, of course, something with which we would like to help you.

Maltese, the language

Maltese is a language with a long and fascinating history. It is a so-called Semitic language, a group of languages which themselves are a member of the Afro-Asiatic family of languages. Maltese is the only Semitic language which is written in the Latin alphabet. The language originated out of Arabic, but there have been various other languages which have exercised an influence on the Maltese thanks to the many conquests of the island. Maltese was recognised as an official working language of the European Union on 1 May 2004.
